4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (May 7)

1. The New Day's Feud With Cesaro/Kidd Is The Best Thing Going In WWE

The best match on the show wasn't longer than the main event talking segment, but it was another week where The New Day's feud with Tyson Kidd and Cesaro was a highlight of the show. Instead of just doing a regular tag match, they booked a six man tag with Kidd and Cesaro joined by Ryback. It was teased going into it that we didn't know who the partner was going to be. Ryback fit just because he is a power wrestler that matches up well with Big E. There was a really cool spot in the match where Cesaro and Ryback hit delayed suplexes at the same time while Kidd looked at them, then realized he probably couldn't do that, so he hit a quicker suplex. The crowd was really into it. Right before the finish, there was a scary moment. Cesaro walked on the guardrail outside the ring and went to hit a DDT on Big E, but he didn't turn well and it looked really bad. Good thing nobody got hurt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx_bv9G5-I0 The match didn't have a clean finish. Towards the end of it, Bray Wyatt's graphic appeared on the screen, that distracted Ryback and allowed Kingston to roll up Kidd in the ring while grabbing the tights. It wasn't a strong show in terms of very good matches, but once again the New Day's feud with Cesaro and Kidd was a highlight this week.
