3. Inconsistent Booking Of The Ascension
This past Monday on Raw, The Ascension were put in a tag match against the duo of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. The result was a short match that Reigns/Ambrose won in about three minutes. There was no doubt who was going to win either. It's also noteworthy that Stardust didn't have any involvement in that match. On Smackdown, The Ascension won clean in under three minutes in a match against the Lucha Dragons. Stardust was at ringside, caused a distraction and then Konnor/Viktor won with the Fall of Man finisher. It's as if WWE is telling the fans that due to these guys being losers, Stardust wants nothing to do with them against a good team. However, against a bad team he's happy to be there. A lot of people that watch Raw don't watch Smackdown, so all they will remember from this week is that they lost to Reigns and Ambrose easily. That's a problem that WWE has to fix by making them look like bigger stars on EVERY show not just one of them. No wrestler or team is really going to make a connection with the audience as long as they are booked inconsistently. Want The Ascension to be considered threats? Book them that way.
