4 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Backlash 2017

Ups...

4. Breeze’s Split Personalities

Remember, there was a hedge on the “downs” regarding the tag title match…

So, even though Tyler Breeze’s janitor disguise was ridiculous – especially in a tag title match – you’ve got to step back and just enjoy the fact that it was pretty funny. It helped that Breeze ended up using the mop to his advantage and confused the Usos more than anything. And yes, it was silly when he dressed up in drag as an old lady, but when was the last time you heard a, “Let’s go grandma!” chant at a wrestling event?

Breeze shed his costumes (with a little help) and got down to business, but he and Fandango fell to the Usos. And while it was silly and a bit of a head-shaker to dress up as a janitor for a match, once in a while (read: don’t make this a regular thing) something like that can make for a decent laugh.

So while it received negative marks earlier, we have to give a little bit of credit too for comedy. Split the difference and we’ll call it a wash.
