4 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (June 20)

UPS…

4. Omos Has Bearable Match

Riddle Omos

It’s sad we have to rate Omos’ matches like this, but he’s never going to have four-star classics, or probably anything approaching three stars. He’s a spectacle, and that’s about it.

So the fact he had a tolerable match against Riddle Monday night is a testament to Riddle’s magnetism and ability to play against Omos’ strengths. The result was a hot crowd who wanted to see the Original Bro succeed but unable to overcome the brute strength of the Nigerian Giant.

To his credit, Omos moved around a bit better this time out and looked almost mobile. That’s not to say that we should expect him to execute a drop toehold or some chain wrestling, but it was refreshing to see him not look like a slug.

We’ll see in a couple weeks whether putting Omos in a ladder match was a good idea or if it’s a disaster, but for now, we’ll give it a try.
