4 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (June 20)

3. ‘Mella Will Do

Carmella Bianca Belair

Losing Rhea Ripley for the Raw Women’s Championship match was a huge blow, robbing fans of what could have been a power-versus-power extravaganza.

But Carmella will do fine as a challenger of the month. Mella emerged from a five-woman match as the new #1 contender, pinning Liv Morgan and outlasting Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss and Asuka. The match itself started slow and sloppy, but a really hot final few minutes where everyone hit their finishers and interrupted pinfall attempts saved the contest.

No one is buying Carmella as a serious threat to Bianca Belair’s title, but at the very least, it isn’t Becky or Asuka again.
