4 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 28)

Downs...

7. Could Go Either Way

Charlotte Nia Jaxx

That item title refers to feelings on this ongoing Asuka & Charlotte Flair/Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler rivalry. We should care about it because it’s four of the top women on the roster battling with each other, but watching Nia wrestle like she’s in quicksand just reminds how little we should care about her.

Jax continues to underwhelm in the ring (when she’s not injuring other wrestlers), and even Charlotte couldn’t get a good match out of her before the DQ finish. Nia & Shayna are natural heels and actually have started playing off each other well, but it’s hard to watch a match like this and get amped for a women’s tag title rematch.

Again, this could go either way, so a strong segment next week could sway this writer back. But first, get Nia freed from the Jell-O she was wrestling in this week.
