4 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 28)

1. Burning It Down… Again

Uggh, are we seriously still doing to human torch angle?

Monday night, Alexa Bliss invited Randy Orton to the ring so she could give him a present: a gasoline can and matches. You see, since Orton burned The Fiend alive, Bliss wanted him to do the same to her. She got frustrated by his inaction, so she doused herself and dared Randy to do it.

And then we got the stupidity. Orton threatened to light the match, and then the lights went out. When they came back up, we presumably were seeing from Alexa’s point of view as Orton lit the match and walked toward the camera/Bliss… and then everything went black. End of Raw.

It’s different, we’ll admit it. But if this is how WWE is trying to draw viewers back to Raw, they’ve really got to rethink things. “Come for the human BBQ, stay for the wrestling!”
