The feud between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio and their respective soldiers is still a strong one, but we’re going to need to see some evidence of forward momentum soon, like a PPV match or a direction for Rey’s son Dominick.

We got another step in the process Monday, with Aleister Black & Humberto Carrillo continuing to stand up for Mysterio and challenging Rollins & Murphy to a tag match. The bout was solid, and it had Rollins pick up the win by stomping Humberto. Post-match, Rollins tried to sacrifice Carrillo on the ring steps, but he had to settle for a stomp on the steps before fleeing.

The rivalry has reached a point where an announcement of a tag match with Rey & Dominick or just Mysterio alone is inevitable, so let’s hope they don’t try to drag things out for too much longer.

Monday’s match might have shown that we might be reaching that point where a bigger match gets made.
