4 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Backlash 2018

Ups...

4. An Effective Beatdown

Despite the criticism about the match itself, we have to give some credit to Big Cass for his post-match shenanigans.

After tapping out clean to the Yes Lock, Cass leveled Daniel Bryan and dropped him with a big boot. He stood over Bryan and posed, soaking in loud “You suck!” chants from the crowd, which let him have it for blindsiding the fan favorite. Corey Graves chimed in nicely, calling Cass “an insecure piece of garbage” for attacking Bryan.

That’s the problem: There was a good post-match story to tell, but the bout itself was bad, and Cass’ loss was really bad. Had the match gone better (Cass hits several power moves, falls victim to one misstep and Bryan wins), then this would have rated higher.

But we still have to give a little nod here since it got such a huge reaction from the fans.
