Perhaps Andrade has finally escaped the doghouse.

The United States Champion returned from his suspension late last month and immediately jobbed to R-Truth in that meaningless joke of a gauntlet match at Super Showdown, then he was on the losing end of a tag match on Raw last week.

Sunday, El Idolo recovered and defeated Humberto Carrillo in a fast-paced match for the US title. The match itself was decent, though not anything we haven’t seen before between the two. (That’s not necessarily a criticism.) The ending came when they started trading rollups and pinfall attempts, and Andrade landed on top and grabbed the tights for the 3 count.

As promising as the crossover feuds involving these two, Angel Garza and Rey Mysterio are, maybe Carrillo has used up his title shots for a bit. Still, it was good to see the US champ net a victory since his return.
