4 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Legends Raw (Jan 4)

3. Tag Match All Action

Sticking four pros in the ring and letting them just go is a recipe for success 90% of the time, and that’s what we got in the opening bout Monday night.

New Day and John Morrison & The Miz had a fast-paced tag match that pitted two former tag champs against each other (courtesy of Teddy Long’s matchmaking, playa). Things seesawed a bit, but Kingston & Woods’ teamwork was on full display as they hit a variety of double-team moves and just kept things flying.

The finishing sequence was especially nice, with things breaking down and action spilling to the outside, with Kofi breaking up a Morrison pinfall after JoMo tried to put his feet on the ropes. This allowed Xavier to nail a Shining Wizard for the pin, and send Miz into fits.

Good stuff, but let’s also hope it leads somewhere with Miz having a breakdown or something.
