4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Jan 15)

1. A Decisive Win For Bryan, Ambrose And Reigns In The Main Event

Daniel Bryan didn't get the clean win in his first match back, but he did in his second during the six man tag main event with Ambrose & Reigns over Rollins, Kane & Show. The fact that Bryan wrestled twice in his first night back was a bit of a surprise just because you might think WWE would ease him into things. Nope. The good thing was that he wasn't in the ring for that long because Ambrose was the babyface that was worked over for much of the match. Ambrose did a fantastic match of selling a knee injury when he was in there. He's very good when it comes to that. Some guys forget to sell properly and that hurts the match. Ambrose knows what he's doing in there. That's why he has such a bright future. When Bryan received the hot tag, he was on fire. The good thing he didn't do the top rope headbutt, which could damage his neck. He still did the dive out to the floor where he jump onto his opponent, but that's not an unsafe move. He can still protect himself. Like most six man tags, there was a lot of brawling by everybody involved as well as near finishes. After Reigns took out Show by spearing him by the announce table and Ambrose took out Rollins with a top rope elbow attack, Bryan was left with Kane. That ended well for Bryan because he hit his running knee finisher (still needs) a name to pin Kane. http://youtu.be/NB5nqPOKNh0 After the match was over, Triple H put Bryan in a match with Kane on next week's Smackdown. He said that if Bryan lost to Kane then Bryan is out of the Royal Rumble match. That should mean a win for Bryan. They can't take him out of the Rumble. Bryan's energy was missed when he was gone. It's so great to see him back in the ring firing up the crowd like nobody else can. Hopefully his presence leads to better shows for WWE in the weeks and months ahead.
