4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Mar 5)

3. No Stardust Vs. Goldust Match At WrestleMania

Smackdown ended with that same hot potato storyline where different people were holding the IC Title. The last man that held it was Stardust. It was a moment that was disappointing because it likely means that Stardust is in the IC Title Ladder Match along with his brother Goldust. That also probably means that there's no Stardust vs. Goldust match at WrestleMania. We don't know for sure if there was a plan for Stardust vs. Goldust at WrestleMania, but if there was and it got changed that's a shame. It would have been the perfect sendoff for Goldust. What will most likely happen is they'll continue the feud after WrestleMania, have some match at a PPV and that'll end it. The last Stardust vs. Goldust match at Fastlane was disappointing. Part of that is because they worked such a soft style of match instead of really making it look heated. They could have used this month to build it up, then put them in a singles match at WrestleMania where Stardust (or Cody) won in about 8-10 minutes. Let Goldust retire on that note instead of doing it at the May or June PPV that isn't as memorable. WrestleMania is a four hour show. They should be able to find time for singles midcard matches. Adding people to other matches isn't that good of an idea. It's lazy booking more than anything.
