4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Mar 5)
2. Big Show And Kane Storylines Continue To Be Boring
Ryback was booked in a match with Kane. He beat him in less than three minutes. That's it. Why should we care about anything Kane ever does? He loses nearly every match he's in at this point in his career. Kane is almost 50. He's fine for his age, but let's not act like he's getting fan reactions that are even close to how things were for him 10-15 years ago. Following the win over Kane thanks to Big Show's accidental distraction, Ryback was forced to also wrestle Big Show. This match went about three minutes also with Show getting the win. Both matches were below average. With all due respect to Kane and Big Show, they need lesser roles on WWE TV. Obviously WWE management views them as valuable employees that have a lot of experience, but fans don't care about them anymore. We've seen it all with them. This story seems to be WWE's way of getting people interested in the Andre the Giant battle royal at WrestleMania. It's not working. Ryback is a definite favorite for the battle royal with Kane and Show booked like threats that will try to beat him. It's the same sort of story they were trying to tell for the Royal Rumble too, which was also boring. If Ryback doesn't win, maybe Sheamus will.
