The Rumble match itself was decent, though the roster of entrants was a bit...meh, for the most part. Even those entrants the WWE hoped would be surprising, such as AJ Styles and Triple H, were predicted long ahead of time, and so aside from the surprise of Sami Zayn, there weren't really any significant shocks. Isn't it always fun to have a few legend spots for a dose of nostalgia? But no, not a single legend got a spot in the Rumble, and perhaps more shockingly, NXT talents like Finn Balor and Samoa Joe didn't give us a WWE vs NXT preview.
