5 Best Moments On WWE Crown Jewel 2021 (And 5 Worst)

9. Worst - Goldberg Beats Bobby Lashley

A solid smoke-and-mirrors effort that at very least erased some memories of Goldberg's prior two Saudi Arabia appearances, the battle between Big Bill and Bigger Bobby was broadly entertaining but shouldn't have gone the way of the former WCW Champion.

Not to dish out a take colder than WWE's actual product, but regulars like Lashley can't be losing to less-than-part-timers like Goldberg under any circumstances at this point. The company has mortgaged its future on legends for so many years now that the only was to ensure a glut of stars in the future is to make new ones so that they can one day bury the current talent of the era.

By virtue of choices like this, Lashley can never be the Bill Goldberg for somebody else one day, returning from the wilderness to squash a guy still in his prime to make a much look bigger on the poster than it could ever be in real life. It seems small on an every day level, but a simple result such as this one harm's WWE's future as much as it does its present.
