5 Big Things William Regal Could Announce For NXT
3. NXT Joins The Big Four
A long time ago, in a country far, far away, Vince McMahon got into an argument with a prince about money. Now princes are a lot scarier than Prinxes, so Vince took his top talent and fled that country on his private jet, leaving the rest of his roster trapped there by armed guards due to claims of mechanical difficulties with their aircraft.
While terrifying for the 175 performers and production staff alike who were stranded in Riyadh, the event turned into some of the best RAW and SmackDown Live shows in then-recent history as NXT was brought in with quick rewrites for an invasion that led to their dominant showing at that year's Survivor Series.
Sadly their involvement didn't last beyond the 2019 edition, and the NXT involvement in the "Big Four" PPVs went back to jobbers bulking up the roster but with no real chance of winning the Royal Rumble matches.
That could change this week if Regal announces that, starting from this year, NXT will be a fixture at WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series; making their participation in the Rumble matches suddenly a lot more meaningful too.
