5 Biggest Winners & Losers From AEW In 2025

4. Losers: The Young Bucks

The Young Bucks are an interesting pair of losers, as Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson are one of the cases where they were literally booked to be made fun of as such throughout the year.

They've not had a bad win-loss record, and they've remained prominently featured and major parts of some big angles like siding with The Death Riders and fighting with Jurassic Express, Kenny Omega, and now turning on The Don Callis Family.

However, all of this was wrapped in a package of them having lost their money and operating on a limited budget, which was the subject of their ridicule on a weekly basis and the great motivator in them desperately trying to win back some more funds.

Refusing to swallow their pride, they spent most of 2025 in stints where they had no entrance music or pyro, were being referred to on lower-third graphics and announced by the wrong names, and having to beg Tony Khan for big money bouts to try to offset their gambling problems.

No tag title reigns this year for The Young Bucks, either, but they did win back some of their Elite brethren.
