5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE Clash Of Champions 2016

2. Losers: Sheamus & Cesaro

Of all Clash of Champions' baffling booking decisions, this might have been the worst. Sheamus and Cesaro have wrestled an extremely entertaining Best of Seven match series over the past few weeks. The comeback story was a little predictable, sure, but the two European powerhouses always delivered in the ring, and their weekly matches will be sorely missed on Raw.

Last night looked set to wrap the series and propel the victor towards a promised title shot... and that's exactly what didn't happen.

Sheamus and Cesaro had produced the best match of the series (and one of WWE's best matches of the year) until the referee decided he'd seen enough, and called a double medical stoppage. It had been a brutal, hard-hitting affair and both had sustained tremendous damage, but the draw went down like a Kalisto promo, and left the rivalry without a conclusion.

It's staggering that WWE would halt such a competitive rivalry with a draw in the seventh match, but that's Vince McMahon & co. for you. Raw's authority figures will likely work to resolve the situation tonight, but this was a hugely disappointing outcome, and one that favours neither man.
