5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE Raw (Oct 17)

5. Loser: Lita

Lita is a justified WWE Hall of Famer, one of the most important female performers in WWE history, and she was a “must see” woman wrestler at a time when WWE had no interest in pushing the division. Yes, she’s had more than her fair share of controversy, but she’s earned her spot in the company’s history, and likely has a WWE job for life.

There should always be a role for her in the company, but this is definitely not it. Last night saw the former WWE Women’s Champion interview Sasha Banks and Charlotte ahead of their historic Hell in a Cell match, and it just didn’t work. Sasha and Charlotte both came off well, but Lita was wooden, awkward, and clumsy. The segments were obviously heavily scripted, but you could almost hear her struggling to remember her lines as she spoke, and she almost completely derailed the interviews.

If WWE are to persist with Lita as an on-screen talent, they must find a more suitable role for her. It’s natural that someone of her stature would act as an ambassador for the Women’s Revolution, but this isn’t working out. From last night’s performance to her stuttering displays on WWE’s PPV Kickoff shows, Lita clearly isn’t comfortable in these heavily-scripted positions.
