4. Winner: Rusev

No, Rusev, Lana, and Roman Reigns focusing on belittling each other instead of selling their Hell In A Cell match probably isn’t the best idea. They, more than anybody else, have done more to downplay the match’s reputation, and it doesn’t help that Reigns is still hideously out of place as a sassy babyface. This feud is no more than something you’d find in any school playground across the country, and it likely ends in a Reigns victory.

That being said, how good was Rusev last night? He might have made his name as an America-loathing monster heel, but he’s become ridiculously good on the microphone. The Bulgarian Brute was in hilarious form as he ran through his family’s accomplishments: there’s just something about his silly insults being delivered in that accent that make him quietly one of the most entertaining guys on the roster, and it’s a shame he isn’t allowed to explore this side of his character more often.

Furthermore, Rusev was finally allowed to lock Reigns in the Accolade and leave the segment on top. The feud has largely revolved around Reigns’ dominance, and Rusev really needed to regain some lost ground this week. That’s exactly what happened, and even if he loses to Reigns as expected, Rusev’s performances will keep this feud from being considered a complete washout.
