5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE Raw (Oct 17)

3. Winner: Charlotte

Lita was poor in her interviewer’s role last night, but you can’t say that for her first interviewee. Conducted in the style of the old Michael Cole interviews, Charlotte was fielded a number of questions on Sasha Banks, Hell in a Cell, and her general position in the company. While Sasha smiled and nodded her way to making HIAC seem like a mere exhibition match, Charlotte was imperious, and stamped her position as one of WWE’s most effective heels.

Upon debuting, it was often said that Charlotte was a step or two behind her fellow Horsewomen. This allegation has been completely overturned: Charlotte might not be as slick as Sasha or Bayley in the ring, but she absolutely has the strongest character, and last night proved it. Charlotte came off arrogant, obnoxious, and completely detestable in her interview, and while most of WWE’s roster garner cheers from the crowd, Charlotte is one of only a handful capable of getting legitimate heat.

Yes, it would’ve been nice if Lita had mentioned HIAC’s real danger, but you can only work with the script you’re given. Charlotte’s message was simple and straightforward - “I’m better than everybody” - but her delivery was immaculate, and her superiority complex has never came-off stronger.
