3. Loser: Randy Orton

The Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton feud is just plain baffling at this point. Perhaps things would’ve been different had they actually wrestled at Backlash as planned (thanks, Brock Lesnar’s elbow), but it feels like their issues are being dragged-out to infinity. Luke Harper and Kane’s involvement has only prolonged things rather than helped resolved them, and the feud took another big twist last night.

Wyatt was wrestling Kane in a no-DQ match. Harper interfered, naturally, and this drew out Orton. Instead of attacking Wyatt, however, The Viper swerved the audience by hitting Kane with an RKO, and gifting Bray the victory.

The cameras caught-up with Randy later in the evening, and when prompted to explain his actions, Orton looked dead into the camera and said: “if you can’t beat them, join them.”

Has Randy actually joined The Wyatt Family? Perhaps he’s using this as a diversion to invade Bray’s trust and destroy him from within, but if not, he has taken a huge loss here. After weeks of back-and-forth with Bray, Orton has effectively laid down his weapons, submitted to the Eater of Worlds’ influence, and joined his cause.
