No Mercy looked like a complete disaster for Alexa Bliss at the time. Not only had Becky Lynch been forced to pull out of their scheduled Women’s Championship match, but Lynch’s replacement, Naomi, defeated her in five minutes. Alexa could’ve walked out of No Mercy as a champion: instead, she lost to one of the division’s minor players.

Fortunately, Bliss has been on a rampage since No Mercy. She has used the frustration to her advantage, and after avenging the Naomi loss last week, she confronted Becky on last night’s show. When their segment was concluded, Alexa left no doubt as to who was leading the charge in their ongoing feud. Her beatdown of Becky was decisive, and in spraying the champion’s back yellow, Bliss left a strong exclamation point.

She still needs some work between the ropes, but Alexa’s character work is putting most of WWE’s women to shame at the moment. Bliss is a ball of rage, and her entitled personality clashes perfectly with Becky’s plucky underdog-isms. Their November 8th title match may come a little too soon for her to win the belt, but if Bliss continues along her current trajectory, there’ll be plenty of gold in her future.
