5 Brother Vs Brother Wrestling Matches That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)

1. Goldust Vs. Stardust - Fastlane 2014

Boy did this one suck, or what? Fastlane 2014 didn't have a whole lot going for it but the Goldust versus Stardust match was certainly an intriguing prospect on paper. A Cody versus Dustin match had been talked about for years and the wrestlers themselves had pushed for it hard in the past. Both are great workers and can put on a hell of a match and cut a decent promo, as Goldust demonstrated in his pre-match promo with father Dusty where he threatened to beat Cody so bad that he'll never want to be Stardust again. Did we get the vicious beating that Goldust promised? No, we did not. What we got instead was the two brothers trading armdrags, Stardust running away, more wrestling, Stardust running away again. More running away. Boredom. More boredom. Nothing happening yet...aaaaand the finish. An out-of-nowhere crucifix pin. The match was only nine minutes long but felt twice that. So what happened? Were they just off their game? Did they, like so many brother versus brother matches in the past, just not have the right chemistry? Was the match layout completely wrong for the story being told? It was probably a combination of all three. Regardless, given how much their Fastlane match stunk out the joint, it's hard to imagine WWE giving them a WrestleMania spot now.
