5 Brother Vs Brother Wrestling Matches That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)

2. Scott Steiner Vs. Rick Steiner - (Fall Brawl & World War III 1998)

The Steiner Brothers are one of the best tag teams in the history of pro-wrestling. From the late 1980s to the mid-90s, Rick and Scott regularly tore it up in WCW, the WWF, ECW and in Japan. Legit badasses, nobody messed with the suplex-throwing machines. When the two split up and began feuding in 1998, fans were hoping for some ultra-stiff, ultra-intense matches between the two brothers. After all, these were two guys who were knocking seven shades out of WCW wresters on a nightly basis, surely they would give a little bit extra on pay-per-view against each other. They didn't. Their Fall Brawl match was hampered by an angle with Scott's new tag team partner Buff Bagwell. Rick Steiner (who had broken Bagwell's neck with a second rope bulldog on April 2nd) threw Buff headfirst into the turnbuckle, causing Bagwell to stay stay down and the EMTs to arrive on the scene. Of course, it was a set-up all along and Buff jumped out of the ambulance and attacked Rick. Their match at Halloween Havoc the next month was marginally better but again suffered from too many run-ins. Their third match at World War III, however, was essentially an angle and there wasn't much of a 'match' to speak of. Both Steiners were so badly broken-down by 1998 that they didn't have a hope of having the classic matches that fans were hoping for.
