Survivor Series is all about Raw vs. SmackDown, so why not play to that and Jinder Mahal's own greed, arrogance, and delusions of grandeur by putting the main event of WrestleMania 34 on the line? If WWE don't want to include the chance that one show will have both the WWE and Universal Titles, then there are worse ideas than deciding which brand's title will headline the biggest show of 2018.

This chance is something a character like Mahal's would dream of. Suppose he is still WWE Champ by WrestleMania, he probably (ha, "probably") wouldn't be the headliner. Use that story to your advantage, WWE. It's there to be used and would give the Survivor Series match at least some meaning. It's not much, but it's a neat sidestep to distract from the lack of titles.

When Lesnar wins, WWE's plans wouldn't be affected, because it seems creative are set on a match between he and Roman Reigns headlining WrestleMania anyway. Meanwhile over on SmackDown, a bitter Mahal could be taunted by a babyface of WWE's choosing, instantly kickstarting his new feud heading into the new year.
