5 Future WWE Tournament Ideas That Must Be Considered

4. A New Take On Tough Enough

Tough Enough's 2015 reboot proved to be little more than a reality TV show LOOSELY based around the notion of professional wrestling. Competitors did obstacle courses, team-building exercises, and d*cked around in the shared house they'd all been packed into.

What the show featured far too little of was actual wrestling. We saw them learn how to run ropes and throw a hip toss, but the lack of in-ring action meant the show was reduced to being a popularity contest. Why not cut all of the shenanigans and actually show us the development of these hopefuls?

Personality holds its place, but going into the WWE system having displayed charisma but little in-ring prowess hasn't resulted in too many success stories. If the WWE could actually bring in hopeful superstars and design a tournament based around their struggles, it could reignite interest in a failed concept.

Watching green wrestlers can be cringey for some, but it would at least give an authentic example of the level which WWE talent need to reach in order to make it. Plus, it would give more of an insight into a business that is becoming increasingly open to the idea of fans seeing the back-end of the product.
