5 Game Changing WWE Moments That Just Lead To Business As Usual

4. CM Punk Delivers The Most Memorable Promo In The History Of RAW

The Moment: Out of no where on June 27th, 2011, CM Punk sat at the top of the ramp on RAW, and delivered the most memorable promo since Hulk Hogan at Bash at the Beach 1996. The entire wrestling community exploded. I can tell you first hand, everyone felt it was one of the greatest things they'd ever seen in wrestling. The status quo in the WWE had been stale for quite a while, and what we just saw walked that perfectly fine line of €œwork or real€, which always results in big box-office numbers. Everyone was talking about the promo, and just where the WWE was going with this one. Would they truly give CM Punk, a fan favorite for years, a shot? His contract was expiring, so perhaps they were just letting him do what he wanted until the clock ran out. With Money In The Bank 2011 taking place in Chicago, and CM Punk facing John Cena for the title, we'd find out. The PPV & match itself are the things dreams are made of. The absolutely rabid crowd went balistic for everything CM Punk did, and just the opposite for everything Cena. They were practically booing each breath he took. What resulted was one of the greatest matches of all time, as CM Punk defeated Cena, clean as a sheet, grabbed the WWE title, and fled out of the building, no longer in the employ of WWE. Everyone involved had just succeed in creating one of the greatest moments in wrestling history, a rare moment that delivers the experience & feeling so few do, but keep us fans for life. Everything was pitch perfect, as fans waited with baited breath for the next move. The Aftermath:
Unfortunately for us, the next move was to have CM Punk come back a week later, after John Cena defeated Rey Mysterio for the new WWE Heavyweight Title, and feud over who was the real champ. They had a match at SummerSlam that was fantastic, and once again ended with CM Punk getting the victory. Immediately afterward he was powerbombed by Kevin Nash, which then gave Alberto Del Rio the chance to come and cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Now, Nash was hurt, thus he couldn't wrestle, so we got Triple H vs CM Punk at the Night of Champions PPV. Hunter then defeated CM Punk, and turned the feud into HHH vs Kevin Nash in a ladder match at the TLC PPV. Just as quickly as they'd made CM Punk the hottest commodity in the company, they'd cool him off twice as quick. By the time he was on his record setting reign as WWE Champion, he'd become just another wrestler, as opposed to the mainstream crossing superstar such as Stone Cold or The Rock, that Punk could have very well become had WWE done right by the angle.

Caliber Winfield is more legend. Despite making up every rumor himself, they're all true. He's so manly he has to shave his eyeballs, and he was mistaken for The Rock as well as Ryan Gosling in the same day, both men said it was the greatest day of their life when they heard the news.
