WWE: 5 Possibilities For Stone Cold Steve Austin At Wrestlemania 30

1. To Challenge A Returning CM Punk

Wrestlemania 30 The Texas Rattlesnake Vs The Best In The World. Possibly the biggest "What if?" match there will ever be. Stone Cold and CM Punk have both been the anti-heroes of their respective generations. With their rebellious attitudes and willingness to fight against the system, they were champions of the modern wrestling fan. And for years, we have wanted to see them fight each other. The two men have teased it every time they have come face to face, and if and when it finally happens, it will probably be the most watched match in WWE history. At time of writing, an enormous question mark is still hanging over Punk's status in WWE. Ever since walking out in January, CM Punk chants have echoed throughout arenas all over America, but Punk himself has maintained media silence, and WWE have also been tight-lipped. It's eerily reminiscent of Austin himself doing the same thing 12 years ago. And while Austin eventually came back to work, it's taken as read that Punk will need to be offered something before he returns. So lets look at the facts; we know Punk's contract doesn't expire until June/July, Austin has speculated that Punk will be at Wrestlemania 30, and we now know for a fact that Austin himself will be there. All the pieces are in place to make WWE fans happier than they've ever been. Austin could go out and address the WWE Universe, talking about how good it is to see them all and about how special Wrestlemania is. He may even begin to talk about the Punk issue, when suddenly "Cult Of Personality" hits, and out comes the prodigal son. He would say that WWE has undervalued him and that he isn't back for them, he isn't back for the fans, he's back for himself. He would say that there are only two thing he hasn't done in his career, headline a Wrestlemania and fight Stone Cold Steve Austin. He would then challenge Austin to a match a year from now at Wrestlemania 31. This has proven to be a success, with The Rock and Cena's match at Wrestlemania being announced a year in advance. It would be the best way for Austin, certainly. He might still be able to go, but we don't want to burn the guy out, so this protects his physical condition for a year. Finally, it means we get Punk back. Even if after that match he still left, he gets the legacy he's always wanted and fans get the match they've always dreamed about So there we go, 5 ideas for what Stone Cold will do this Sunday at Wrestlemania 30. This is all complete speculation, and I could be wildly mistaken. What would you want to see happen? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
