5 Legitimate Reasons Sasha Banks Has To Be Unhappy With WWE

3. First The Worst

Bayley and Sasha didn't have to win at WrestleMania for the early legitimacy of the Women's Tag Team Titles to remain in tact, but their position as future contenders was badly hampered by an IIconic victory. And other than being the first ever, their run with the gold left little of significance to reflect on.

In kayfabe, The Boss & Hug Connection managed exactly one successful defence of their titles, and even that was forgotten literally a second after it occurred. At Fastlane in March, the pair got by Nia Jax and Tamina but were decked in the aftermath just to set up a surprise save from Beth Phoenix.

Her "Divas Of Doom" reunion with Natalya was the headline story going into the 'Show Of Shows' fatal four-way, not the stakes for Sasha and Bayley against three other duos nor the historic first ever defence of the titles on the 'Grandest Stage'.

Though seemingly not by cynical design, the pair had lost their way somewhat on the fabled Road To WrestleMania. It only became explicitly clear just how many wrong turns had been taken in the moments after the match itself.
