5 Maddest One Round Wars In UFC History

2. Frank Trigg Vs. Matt Hughes 2

These two didn't like each other, at all. After Hughes won their first fight via submission in the first round, months of bickering and trash talking led into their highly anticipated rematch.

Trigg would drop Hughes against the cage with a low blow knee that went unnoticed by the referee, followed with a hefty strike to the jaw and a rain of several malicious elbows across the highly touted wrestler's temples and ears. Hughes fought through the ground and pound punches from above, before muscling his way to his feet, hoisting Trigg atop his shoulders, and running the length of the cage before viciously slamming him into the corner and returning the ground and pound he received earlier.

With a single minute left in the round, Hughes then took his opponent's back, rolled him over and sank his farm-strong forearm across his neck, while digging in with his leg hooks for another submission victory. UFC President Dana White would call this the greatest fight in MMA history.
