5 Positives & 5 Negatives For WWE From Donald Trump's Election Victory
9. Negative: Trump May Try To Distance Himself From WWE
For the aforementioned reasons, Donald Trump may look to distance himself from some of his past dealings, including WWE.
While one of the concerns many Americans have about Trump taking the Oval Office centers around the benefits that Trump's friends would receive, fairly or unfairly, the President-elect is unlikely to bring all of his buddies up with him.
On 20 January, 2017, Trump will transition from being a shockingly concerning yet surprisingly refreshing (in the eyes of some) presidential candidate to the actual President of the United States. With that will obviously come pressure from all levels of U.S. government to shed his previous image as well as his former baggage (as they're perceived) and embrace the more traditional behaviors of past Presidents.
One of the examples that is likely to be referenced may be his relationship with Vince McMahon and WWE. While far from a top priority, it's expected that many of Trump's advisors would encourage him to distance himself from the pro-wrestling organization, if and when the company is ever brought up. Whether or not Trump will listen, only time will tell.
