5 Positives & Negatives Heading Into WWE Hell In A Cell 2016
7. Negative - Too Much Focus On Lesnar And Goldberg
Okay, so on the one hand this isn’t such a negative; sowing the seeds this early on for a Survivor Series meeting between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg will not only be of benefit to the November PPV, but it also provided us with that awesome segment on Raw last week when Goldberg made his long-awaited WWE return.
Of course, you’ll notice that neither of those points relate to the more immediate Hell in a Cell PPV. So while the revival of the Lesnar vs. Goldberg feud did pop a rating and it does bode well for Survivor Series, you could argue that all this focus on their future angle has taken some of the shine off of Hell in a Cell.
Fans are already looking forward to their meeting, which was recently made official via Twitter, to the point that some may see Hell in a Cell as something of a filler show – a mere prelude to more important matters such as Lesnar vs. Goldberg.
In order to avoid making Hell in a Cell feel subordinate, maybe they could have scheduled some kind of stand-off or a promo from Paul Heyman for this Sunday’s PPV.
