5 Positives & Negatives Heading Into WWE Hell In A Cell 2016
8. Negative - Karl Anderson Continues To Lose…
Sticking with the negatives, I’ve got to touch upon the sorry state in which the Club currently finds itself.
Having failed to win the Raw Tag Team Championships on numerous occasions, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have since seen their rut continue. Now, they find themselves crossing paths with Enzo and Cass away from the title picture, which certainly sounds appealing on paper, at least.
In practice though, the execution has left a little something to be desired, largely because of the writers’ insistence on continually booking the Club to lose. In back-to-back weeks, Karl Anderson has come out on the losing side against Big Cass and Enzo Amore, with that first encounter lasting just a couple of minutes.
This leaves us disappointed for a couple of reasons. First, it hurts the Club’s credibility and makes an excellent talent like Anderson look like a chump, while it also suggests we could be in store for more of that dreaded 50/50 booking come Hell in a Cell, which is predictable, boring, and makes it all the more difficult for fans to emotionally invest in the product.
