2. Positive — Mickie James' Return

Earlier I mentioned that there was a bit of dearth of female challenges for Asuka’s NXT Women’s title, but that thankfully they’d found a way around this—by bringing back Mickie James.

Not only did the announcement of James' return get a big pop from the Full Sail crowd, but it made sense given the transitional times in which we currently find ourselves.

Pushing someone like Ember Moon into a feud with Asuka could be a case of a little bit too much too soon—not because of inexperience of anything, but because Moon is still relatively new and unknown to the NXT audience.

But by having James come back for the show is a great way of buying the rest of the women time to acclimatise to NXT and stake their own claim for an eventual title shot. It’s a wise way of plugging the gaps in the wake of this summer’s WWE Draft, and furthermore it’s one that’ll probably result in a pretty awesome match in Toronto come Saturday. A win-win for everybody!
