4. Kaitlyn Falls For Cody Rhodes

Keeping his eye on social media, Kevin Eck noticed that Kaitlyn had tweeted about her fondness for guys sporting moustaches. Coincidentally, one Cody Rhodes had started getting quite the response from fans for his facial fluff, and that led the writer to pen an angle bringing both talents together.

Much to the chagrin of Cody's regular partner Damien Sandow, the budding romance between Rhodes and Kaitlyn would eventually lead to the woman turning on Cody and siding with Sandow due to his superior beard. Another route Eck had in mind was for Sandow to find his own girlfriend and feud both sides against one another in mixed tag-team matches.

Again, McMahon wasn't hot on the idea, and couldn't understand why Cody Rhodes would even look at someone like Kaitlyn when girls such as The Bella Twins were running around in WWE. Eck wanted to tell his boss that people did find Kaitlyn attractive, but he was powerless to overrule Vince's personal preferences.

Although Cody and Kaitlyn did interact briefly on television, their romantic bond storyline was ultimately put on the scrap heap.
