The Undertaker: 5 Reasons We Should Have Seen The End Of The Streak Coming

5. Undertaker's Physical Condition

Mark Calloway has been a phenomenal wrestler in WWE for 24 years. And in that time, he has competed in Ladder matches, Hell In A Cell matches, Buried Alive matches, Elimination Chambers, Punjabi Prisons, First Bloods, Last Man Standings, and endured all kinds of brutality. It has taken an immense toll on his physical condition, to the point where he hasn't been able to compete as a full time active wrestler since 2010. The man is probably in pain every day. A few weeks ago, 'Taker turned 49, and it seems these days, he's feeling his age more than ever. Last year, his planned match with CM Punk didn't get the go-ahead until the very last minute because they weren't sure if he would be able to compete. Earlier this year, pictures of 'Taker with his grey goatee did the rounds on the internet, with many fans shocked by just how old he looked. Last nights match was a telling sign more than anything, as he seemed to be off-balance a lot. At one point, JBL pointed out that Undertaker hadn't been on his feet for over five minutes during the match. And immediately after Wrestlemania, there were reports of him heading to hospital for possible concussion. It seems time may have finally caught up with The Deadman. Undertaker has given us 24 years of amazing entertainment, but it looks like he is physically no longer capable of the shows he used to put on. And as the professional that he is, he may now feel that once he can longer compete, he will step down and retire. As respectful and grateful fans, we should all allow him that right.
