5 Reasons AEW Should Sign Cesaro AEW (& 5 Reasons They Shouldn’t)
9. Reason He Should: Helping with younger talent
We saw it in WWE when Cesaro was sent to NXT UK or asked to help coax a rookie Mansoor through a Saudi Arabian PPV. They don’t have to be as green as Mansoor. Any younger talent would benefit from time in the ring with the “Swiss Superman” He could probably teach most of the veterans a thing or two!
This doesn’t mean Cesaro needs to be the sort of midcard gatekeeper who just gets beaten and beaten by younger guys moving past him. Cesaro could plug the gap left by the recently departed Cody Rhodes. Rhodes bested Sammy Guevara on the first ever Dynamite only to put him over years later, showing how far the younger man had come. Cesaro could play a similar role in emerging talent’s longterm arcs.
With the likes of Guevara, Darby Allin and Jungle Boy now well established, an even younger crop are coming up behind them. Imagine what the likes of Brock Anderson or even Hook could learn from the “Swiss Superman” himself.
