5 Reasons Why Australian Pro Wrestling Is Practically Unheard Of
2. Egos The Size Of Texas... I Mean, Western Australia
Wow. Okay, I understand the psychology of how some backstage drama can occur when people in close quarters are competing at the professional level. And granted, some things I did witness did have genuine heat that was rightfully deserved, like a botched move resulting in severe injury. I get that. But when you have a massive hissy fit that would put Kanye West to shame about a paycheck when you had just wrestled in front of about 10 people is quite simply shocking. I will never name names as I feel that is just detrimental to the cause. But the actions, rhetoric and attitudes of some of these guys is dead set childish. I never had this problem as when I saw that type of stuff happening I just walked away. And a vast majority of wrestlers actually do get along, quite famously as a matter of fact. But the problem seems to be that the ones that throw these types of hissy fits I allude to are either the ones who are in power or the veterans that perhaps should be setting a better example in front of the rookies. And with that let us refer back to the previous example I pointed out. The reason why we have so many wrestling federations is because the guys in power or with actual pull seemingly like to believe they are somehow the Australian equivalent of Vince McMahon, (or at least Triple H) and can't even be in the same room as each other. And that my friends is NOT WHAT''S BEST FOR BUSINESS.
Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life????
