5 Reasons Baron Corbin Is No Worthy WWE Champion Upgrade To Jinder Mahal

4. He's Not As Polished In-Ring

Baron Corbin has only been wrestling since 2012, and he's only been on the WWE main roster since 2016. That looks weak next to Jinder Mahal's 15 years as an active wrestler. Jinder has had time to find himself as a performer. Yes, his push was sudden, but he believed he was ready to receive it. Corbin isn't at that stage yet.

Glance back at matches against everyone from Sami Zayn to Shinsuke Nakamura and you'll see a wrestler still finding his feet. Sometimes Corbin works like a big man (which he physically is), but other matches see him bumping all over the place for guys half his size. It's inconsistent and hurts his chances of succeeding as champ.

Fans know what to expect from a Mahal match by now. He works well with guys like Randy Orton, but will also do well against Nakamura. For proof of how adaptive Jinder is, just watch his NXT match against Seth Rollins from August, 2012.
