5 Reasons Baron Corbin Is No Worthy WWE Champion Upgrade To Jinder Mahal

3. He's Not Always 'On' As A Character

There are times when Baron Corbin looks a little like a deer in headlights might. This was visible during the aforementioned SmackDown segment with John Cena. Rather than coming across as a top star who was Cena's equal, Corbin was treated like a nuisance by his foe. Cena even called him over-rated.

The same things haven't been said about Jinder Mahal, at least not on WWE TV. Announcers have put over his hard work and determination rather than focusing on a sudden push that took him from obscurity to the main event. Best of all though, Jinder himself doesn't sell the idea that he's 'lucky' to be champion, and he's always switched on as a character.

Facial expressions go a long way. Whilst Corbin occasionally looks gormless and unsure of what to do next, Mahal has looked in control of his performances from the moment he won the title. Sure, it's still a surprise WWE pushed him as champion, but at least the man looks like he's in control.
