5 Reasons Brock Lesnar Should Stay In WWE (And 5 Reasons Why He Will Leave)
4. He Was A Bigger Draw In UFC Compared To WWE
Lesnar is a pretty good draw in WWE, but he's not as big as guys like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin or The Rock. Ratings go up a bit for him although it's not that significant. They're the ones that set records, then broke them countless times and headlined some of the biggest shows ever. Lesnar's done well for himself. He's just not at the top. In the UFC it's different. He's the biggest draw they have ever had. Four of Lesnar's fights on PPV have placed among the top seven UFC PPVs in number of buys. Here are those four fights with the rankings in the top 7: 1. UFC 100 July 21, 2009: Lesnar vs. Mir 1.6 million buys 2. UFC 116 July 3, 2010: Lesnar vs. Carwin - 1.16 million 5. UFC 121 October 23, 2010: Lesnar vs. Velasquez - 1.05 million 7. UFC 91 November 15, 2008: Lesnar vs. Couture - 1.01 million His last UFC fight against Overeem is 17th all time with over 750,000 buys. That's still better than every WWE PPV except WrestleManias. Some WrestleManias have done over 1 million worldwide buys too, but none of them have topped 1.3 million, so the 1.6 million for UFC 100 is the highest for either company. Lesnar is the biggest draw in the history of the UFC. He has to know that. There's a chance that his return fight could beat the record from 2009 just because there are more WWE fans that are probably going to be interested to see how it goes for him. Can he break his record That's something that probably appeals to him.
