5 Reasons CM Punk Will Struggle In UFC
2. Pressure/Octagon Jitters

CM Punk should be used to performing on a big stage, but he's also going to have a spotlight on him that is larger and more intense than any fighter has had since the debut of Brock Lesnar. Will lightning strike twice?
That's a tough one to call, but between that, and octagon jitters (the nerves felt by any fighter entering the UFC octagon for the first time), there's a good chance that Punk's debut ends in failure.
Here's the problem: Punk can lose his first fight, as long as he looks decent, but he's got about a two-fight window to really impress. He's no different than any other UFC fighter, really - he needs to perform, and given his fanbase, there's going to be added pressure.
