5 Reasons CM Punk Will Struggle In UFC
1. He Just Isn't At That Level
Lets face it - no matter what the Gracies say, no matter how long he has been training, CM Punk has never set foot in the UFC octagon. Not only that, he has a stunning 0-0 record in professional MMA. That's right - CM Punk has never had a pro MMA fight, He's never been outside the gym.
Consider this: even Brock Lesnar had a fight prior to signing with the UFC, and he won it.
Punk will be completely green. He's being brought in for name value alone, and while his name will help the UFC's bottom line, and while he will make some serious bank, it's hard to believe that CM Punk is anywhere near elite level talent in MMA.
Consider this as well - Punk is not a heavyweight. A guy like Brock Lesnar or Bobby Lashley can enter into a thin heavyweight division and quickly make an impact just by being a solid wrestler. Lesnar was a standout in college, after all - that allowed him to go far.
Punk? He'll be looking at lower weight classes, that are far more stacked. The odds are definitely not in his favour
