It may be difficult to fathom, but the Modern Day Mahraja needs to stand tall on Sunday.

This certainly is an article I never thought I would write. The 30th SummerSlam in history will take place this coming Sunday, and the WWE Championship will be on the line in a match that sums up the strange world that is modern day WWE.

Jinder Mahal, the cinderella (Jinderella) story of 2017, will defend his championship against the youngest IWGP Heavyweight Champion in history, Shinsuke Nakamura, What makes all of this even stranger is the fact that Jinder Mahal defeating Shinsuke Nakamura is the right move.

Two years ago these men were in completely different worlds - Nakamura had just lost in the final of the G1 Climax to Hiroshi Tanahashi, whereas Mahal was coming up short against Colt Cabana at an LSCW show headlined by Lance Hoyt and Tommy Dreamer - now they are to battle over the richest prize in the game.

The first post-Randy Orton championship defence of Jinder's reign is the most important match of his career, and one he simply must win.
