Okay, okay, Jinder Mahal wasn't ready to be champion when he defeated Randy Orton at Backlash, I know. Mahal has carried himself like a champion since winning the belt, but he still feels like a fluke title holder. There are a plethora of reasons one can give as to why Jinder should lose the championship, but Nakamura isn't the right person to dethrone the Modern Day Maharaja. Not yet, anyway.

There is more to lose with a bust Nakamura title run than there is with a Jinder equivalent. The King of Strong Style came into WWE with a bucketful of hype, another huge international signing that came with Triple H's seal of approval. The heir to the throne has had his fingers burnt in the past with such signings - Nakamura simply has to be a success.

By rushing Shinsuke to the top of the table, WWE runs the risk of fans turning their backs on the former IWGP Intercontinental Champion. Nakamura has been on the main roster less than six months and is yet to truly show what he can do - everyone will be best served if he is able to do so before ascending to the WWE Championship.
