5 Reasons Not To Cheer For John Cena's WWE Return

3. Creative May Not Use Him Properly

This past WrestleMania was possibly the most star-studded in history. Triple H, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, and Shane McMahon all had prominent matches, and a guest appearance from The Rock was heavily pushed in the event's advertising. Nevertheless, most people considered the show a major disappointment.

At the heart of that failure was the fact that these stars weren't used properly. Brock Lesnar was wasted in what turned out to be little more than a squash match. Triple H was a heel in front of a crowd that cheered him anyway. The Undertaker was put in a position where fans wanted to see him lose at WrestleMania. Even The Rock's cameo was more about popping a crowd than building anything up long-term.

Sure, Cena is the top full-time star in WWE, but given how poorly those men were used at WrestleMania, who's to say that he's immune from the creative team's shortcomings? Cena is no longer the company's top priority, making it even more likely that he'll fall victim to some form of bad booking.

Basically, the fanfare over Cena's return may lead one to think otherwise, but it's probably not long before he's losing to Roman Reigns and making jokes about it on TV.
