5 Reasons The Undertaker's WWE Retirement Will Stick (& 5 Reasons It Won't)
6. WILL: There's No One Left For Him To Feud With
In the 1990s, WWE was a monster factory, building up larger-than-life opponents to feed to a surging undertaker.
Yokozuna, Sycho Sid, King Kong Bundy, and regrettably enough, Giant Gonzales were all built up as credible threats for the Deadman to overcome. Kane was invented just to give the seven-footer a believable foil. But even as he tore through monster after monster, 'Taker found excellent rivalries with smaller workers, most notably Shawn Michaels, proving he could legitimize anyone who stepped into the squared circle across from him.
'Taker's latter-day opponents have fallen into one of two categories: top stars to get over and dream matches. He's made Roman Reigns and AJ Styles look like veritable legends. He's fulfilled the fantasy of challenging Goldberg and John Cena. There are few options in either category left.
While we could see him having a go at Drew McIntyre or finally giving Bray Wyatt the rub, neither star needs it. We'll never get that Sting match, and that's really the last dream match left. Simply put, 'Taker has no unfinished business.
