5 Reasons Why WWE Should Have An Off Season

4. More Time For Community Service

WWE is committed to many business ventures outside the ring, but arguably none more so than their community service initiatives. Their involvement in projects such as Make-A-Wish, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and B.A. Star illustrates their dedication to help build better communities. According to statistics, WWE has donated €œmore than $1.2 million to fund breast cancer research, education and screening, has donated 20 percent of the retail price of all co-branded merchandise sold on WWEShop.com and at live events for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and their B.A. Star materials have been downloaded by over 7,000 educators and students combined." It is a respectable trait for WWE to be a part of these projects and it shows that they keep up with the times, as companies like the NFL and UFC are also involved in community programs. With an off-season, WWE can use this time to increase their involvement in these projects. This does not mean that they should stop during the season, but while the attention is out of the ring, they can further demonstrate their commitment to the community. Doing so will not only maintain WWE's good standing in those communities, but can also help them create brand awareness and loyalty for those in the communities who are not wrestling fans.
